Clerk II (holding the functional title of Executive Assistant) in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures (Ref.: 530827) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 to 3 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); effective inter-personal and communication skills; outgoing personality and confidence in dealing with people at all levels; the ability to work independently and in a team; a strong sense of responsibility and be attentive to details. A high level of IT proficiency and use of webpage/graphic design software will definitely be an advantage.
The appointee will provide a wide range of administrative and clerical support on undergraduate and/or taught postgradudate curricula, including student matters and day-to-day enquiries; assist in programme administration, event management and a variety of academic activities, assistance in organization of school events; provide general support to committees; and perform any other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
